I help genealogists research their ancestors in Pennsylvania through books, workshops, and a membership community.
Hello Reader!
β
Here we are in 2024, and my personal goal is to make it the best year ever for Pennsylvania genealogy researchers. π
β
2023 was a busy year! Over 7,000 people a month are visiting paancestors.com and the newsletter you are reading now reaches over 700 subscribers each week.
I don't run ads and I don't pay for subscribers, so the growth of PA Ancestors is thanks to your referrals. Thank you!
For 2024, I have started a reward program to better thank you for your referrals. Click any of the social icons below to share this newsletter with your friends. When 3 friends become a subscriber, you get access to all the PA Ancestors Members Only content. (which I'll be adding more to through out 2024).
|
Newsletter subscribers will continue to get first opportunity for registration and discounts for any kind of event I host.
β
Enrollment in the January Discover your Ancestors Workshop is now closed. Look for the next dates to open in April and registration to open at the end of February with a discount for newsletter subscribers.
β
I'll be delivering webinars for the organizations below the first half of 2024. I hope to see you at one of them!
If you would like me to present a webinar to your genealogy society or other organization, you can find my list of topics and details here: https://www.paancestors.com/speaking/β
β
You can save links to the articles and podcast to your board. Follow PA Ancestors here. https://www.pinterest.com/paancestorshomeβ

After 55 years of 'Denys', I decided to put an βeβ on the end to make it easier to pronounce. Look for my new first name βDenyseβ in emails and social media over the next month.
β
And lastly, I've finally set up a social media account to share my personal genealogy research. You can find it on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/denyse_chronicles/. Give me a follow and I'll follow you back!

Let's discover our Pennsylvania ancestors together,

P.S. The new year means an additional year of access to Pennsylvania state vital records. You can start by searching the original Department of Health Indexes on the PA State Archive website. Sadly it takes years for the images to appear on Ancestry, but you can request copies of the certificates for just a few dollars from the Archive.
